- Support day-to-day German accounting operations and bookkeeping
- Partner with external accounting providers and review local deliverables
- Prepare and post journal entries (revenue, accruals, payroll, invoices)
- Support month-end closes and reconciliations (bank, AP/AR)
- Help manage German payroll, tax, and statutory reporting
- Ensure documentation and internal controls; liaise with auditors
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years accounting experience (startup/scale-up preferred)
- Background as Senior Accountant / Buchhalter
- German GAAP knowledge with SKR 03/04; debits & credits
- DATEV experience; NetSuite/Everest/QuickBooks a plus; Excel
- German payroll/tax/compliance familiarity (VAT, OSS, withholding tax)
- Fluency in German (C1) and English (B2-C1)
