  • Build and maintain relationships with district-level decision-makers for Newsela core curriculum.
  • Use solution-based selling, negotiation and closing to navigate board approvals.
  • Create and maintain a robust pipeline; tailor account plans for K-12 cycles.
  • Lead lifecycle from lead gen to final negotiation; partner with cross-functional teams.
  • Meet district/county leaders in-person to present solutions and secure adoption.
  • Inform strategy by monitoring CA K-12 demographics and state initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years as Account Executive or quota-carrying in K-12 EdTech.
  • 2+ years selling K-12 core curriculum in California adoption.
  • Must be located in California for the duration of role.
  • Experience selling K-12 core ELA/ELD; other subjects okay.
  • Experience launching a new program or state adoption campaign.
  • Willing to travel up to 80% within the territory; MEDDIPCC a plus.
