Security Operations Center Engineer

📋 Description

\n
• Monitor, research, assess, and analyze internal and customer environments for patch management.
\n
• Apply OS level patches for internal and customer environments using IBM BigFix.
\n
• Create and maintain vulnerability and patch reports internally and for customers.
\n
• Collaborate with client technical teams for issue resolution and remediation; interface with internal/external customer teams and vendors.
\n
• Perform log analysis and report results using IDS/IPS and related tools.
\n
• Shift Schedule: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM CDT Friday through Tuesday.
\n

• Knowledge of Windows, Unix, Firewalls, and IDS/Threat Detection.
\n
• Organize, prioritize, and bring tasks to completion.
\n
• Develop and execute process improvements; document knowledge base articles.
\n
• Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and prioritization.
\n
• Customer service including escalation resolution and incident handling.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
