Security Manager, Application Security (APAC)

📋 Description

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Application Security Engineers.
• Own end-to-end operating cadence: triage rotations, review queues, milestones.
• Drive tactical execution: scale the AppSec program for non-linear security gains.
• Lead AI adoption in AppSec: AI-assisted triage, threat modeling, code analysis.
• Partner with Security Architecture, Infrastructure Security, and Security Operations.
• Prepare and deliver meaningful metrics to Product Security leadership.

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrable people management experience in application security or related security engineering.
• Deep knowledge: secure code review, threat modeling, vuln mgmt, secure SDLC.
• Ability to influence Product and Engineering decisions and co-own outcomes.
• Comfort with AI-augmented workflows and GitLab Duo to scale AppSec.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.
• Ability to scope projects, plan work, assign owners, and measure progress against goals.
