Security Engineer

📋 Description

• Partner with engineering to design secure architectures for products, APIs, and platforms.
• Lead product security reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments for features.
• Identify and remediate security issues across web, backend, cloud, mobile, and APIs.
• Build security guardrails in the SDLC, including secure defaults, testing, and automation.
• Define security requirements for AI/Agentic features: prompts, data exposure, and third-party AI.
• Collaborate on secure coding, vulnerability management, and risk-based remediation.
• Improve security telemetry, detection, and response with infra teams.
• Contribute to security standards, architectures, and developer guidance.
• Support security reviews for external integrations and partner ecosystems.
• Investigate security incidents and turn learnings into durable engineering improvements.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in application/product security or security-focused software engineering.
• Strong understanding of app security across web, APIs, auth, and cloud-native systems.
• Experience with threat modeling, secure design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Experience finding/prioritizing vulnerabilities via manual testing, code review, and tooling.
• Familiarity with secure SDLC practices and embedding security in engineering workflows.
• Strong understanding of risks: injection, access control, secrets, SSRF, supply chain.
• Knowledge securing AI-enabled products: LLM risks, prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, third-party AI.
• Ability to write clear guidance and influence teams without friction.
• Strong communication; able to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, legal, and compliance.
• Comfort balancing security rigor with product velocity and business priorities.
