Are you a commercially minded builder with a track record of helping enterprises adopt new technology? We're hiring a Principal Business Development Executive to lead the growth of Scribe Optimize, our newest AI solution designed to help enterprises capture and improve their business processes.

This isn’t a role where you step into an existing playbook. You’ll be responsible for introducing Optimize to the market, convincing senior executives to run their first pilots, and turning those pilots into long-term deployments. With Scribe’s existing reach, 5M+ users and 75,000 paying businesses, including half of the Fortune 500, you’ll have a rare platform to make early wins with some of the world’s largest companies.

You’ll report directly to our CRO and partner closely with our CEO and CTO. Together, you’ll shape how Optimize is positioned, sold, and expanded into a durable revenue stream for Scribe.

📌 About the Role

As a Principal AI Business Development Executive at Scribe, you will:

  • Prospect into Fortune 1000 CIOs, Chief AI Officers, and senior executives to secure early pilots of Optimize and expand them into long-term deployments.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities (average deal size $250K+) and track progress against the core metrics for this role: live pilots, pipeline creation, and revenue.

  • Partner with Product, Solutions, Engineering, and R&D to ensure pilots deliver measurable business outcomes and to influence the roadmap based on customer feedback.

  • Establish reference accounts and customer stories that validate Optimize’s impact and open doors with new customers.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the AI optimization market and competitive landscape to guide executive conversations and positioning.

  • Codify early wins into repeatable go-to-market playbooks in collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Sales so Optimize can scale beyond first deals.

  • Participate in strategic planning with executive leadership (CRO, CEO, CTO) on market expansion opportunities.

🌎 Location

While we hire from almost anywhere in the world, our HQ is in beautiful San Francisco, California. For this role, we expect you to live in or near San Francisco and work from the office 3 days per week.

🧩 What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 10+ years in enterprise business development, technical sales, or strategic partnerships.

  • A track record of selling emerging technology to executives at Fortune 1000 companies, not just running a playbook, but creating the case for adoption.

  • Experience in fast-scaling environments (startup or enterprise) where priorities shift quickly and building structure is part of the job.

  • Familiarity with enterprise AI adoption, you understand the trends, what executives are trying to achieve, and the challenges they face.

  • Strong technical and business fluency, able to connect AI concepts, performance metrics, and optimization strategies to tangible outcomes for customers.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence and build trust with senior executives.

💰 Compensation

We use trusted market data and a tiered location system to ensure competitive, equitable pay. The range below reflects this; your specific offer will depend on experience, pay parity, and location.

$250K OTE - $360K OTE
