Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer with 8 years of experience to join

our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in cloud security, particularly in

AWS and Azure environments, along with strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC)

using Terraform. The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security

and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, designing, and implementing security solutions,

and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain a secure cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

 Identify security threats/vulnerabilities/weaknesses by performing activities like cloud

architecture reviews, threat modelling, security testing, cloud security audit etc.

 Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect

the organization's cloud-based assets.

 Design, deploy, and manage security controls and solutions in AWS and Azure, such

as IAM, WAF, Firewall Rules, Security Groups, Encryption, and Key Management.

 Monitor cloud infrastructure for security incidents, anomalies, and compliance

violations, and respond to and investigate security alerts.

 Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security best practices

into CI/CD pipelines and automate security controls using Terraform and other IAC

tools.

 Conduct security assessments and reviews of cloud architecture, designs, and

implementations to ensure adherence to security standards and best practices.

 Stay up to date with the latest cloud security trends, vulnerabilities, and threats, and

recommend proactive measures to enhance security posture.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

 8 years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on AWS and Azure platforms.

 Strong understanding of cloud security architecture, including network security,

identity and access management, encryption, and data protection.

 In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud Platform with strong understanding of

security principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001) as

applied to cloud environments.

 Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies in cloud environments,

such as AWS Security Hub, Guard Duty, Azure Defender for Cloud, CloudTrail, Cloud

Watch and Azure Monitor.

 Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and technologies, such as cloud

security posture management (CSPM), cloud access security brokers (CASB), and

cloud workload protection platforms (CWPP)

 Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash Shell, or

similar languages.

 Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Formation,

Azure ARM for provisioning and managing cloud resources.

 Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Speciality, Azure Security

Engineer Associate, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or equivalent are

a plus.

 Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-

functional teams and stakeholders.

 Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving

security issues.
