Sample Management Technician

📋 Description

• Receive and check in biological samples with accuracy
• Complete recordkeeping for check-in, transfer logs, and freezer logs
• Coordinate sample logistics with clients or sites
• Perform careful manual entry of sample data
• Store samples for long-term storage in correct locations
• Rack samples for production
• Keep samples in correct freezers and orderly
• Count samples at the end of each study
• Data entry for the sample receipt area
• Return samples to clients or other parties
• Daily monitoring of refrigerators/freezers with proper documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized lab space and freezer rooms

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
• A strong eye for detail — you notice when something is off
• Comfort with repetitive, process-driven tasks
• Nicotine-free candidates preferred to prevent contamination
• Previous lab or science experience is preferred
• Excellent communication; collaborative team player
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Shift: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, begin between 7:30 am and 9 am
