Overview:
If you're looking for the stability of a profitable, growing company with the entrepreneurial spirit of a startup, we’re hiring. SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking an Underwriting Training Specialist.
What you’d be doing:
- Responsible for performance, development and coaching of assigned staff members, (i.e. performance reviews, individual performance management, hiring recommendations)
- Assists in monitoring/coordinating workloads, workflow, and customer service to ensure maximum efficiency in the underwriting team. Recommends improvements and helps implement changes.
- May have increased underwriting authority to handle exceptions normally delegated to VP Underwriting
- Provide technical mentoring support for underwriting team members
- Assist in identifying trends and training needs from the team’s quality assurance process and audits
- Hands-on working supervisor, may do the work of underwriter based on business needs
We’re looking for someone who has:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including conflict management skills
- Superior knowledge in Homeowner Products, Underwriting and Systems
- High degree of initiative
