Safety Programs Engineer

📋 Description

• Supports SMS and COS programs development and daily operations.
• Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain.
• Leads safety risk management across design, manufacturing, and ops.
• Assists with regulatory engagement and FAA compliance.
• Defines safety processes and integrates risk management culture.
• Builds practical safety training and promotes reporting.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant aerospace, product safety, or systems engineering
• Experience piloting, evaluating, and iterating new processes.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional discussions and documenting analyses.
• Effective written and verbal communication; present to diverse audiences.
• Direct SMS experience within aircraft design, manufacturing, or ops.
• Familiarity with FAA frameworks incl. 14 CFR 5 and 14 CFR 21.3.
• Experience with hazard analysis, safety investigations, or risk assessments.
• Experience with in-service data, safety reporting, or corrective actions.
