The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will lead our organization's information security strategy. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security program to protect the organization's assets, reputation, and customer trust. This role involves overseeing the information security team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborating with other departments to integrate security best practices across the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and risk management framework.

  • Act as a key advisor to the executive team on information security issues and emerging trends.

  • Establish a security governance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure effective risk management, incident response, and compliance.

  • Identify and evaluate potential security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing information security team.

  • Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization by promoting best practices and conducting training sessions.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify security gaps and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  • Monitor threat landscapes, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the organization's information security posture.

  • Oversee the organization’s incident response planning and execution, ensuring rapid response and recovery from security incidents.

  • Coordinate post-incident analysis to learn from security events and continuously improve security measures.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as IT, legal, and HR, to ensure integrated security practices across the business.

  • Communicate security strategies and incident reports effectively to relevant stakeholders and the board of directors.

  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Proven experience (15+ years) in information security roles, with a minimum of 10 years in leadership positions.

  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and industry best practices.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Masters’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
