We’re building a mission-driven team of accomplished and kind individuals who embrace our startup culture of rapid iteration, transparency, and versatility.

We are looking for a

This is a fully onsite position in Redwood City.

About you:

You enjoy tackling complex accounting problems and continuously improving your skills and processes. You have exceptional attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, timely results. The numbers are your priority but you're flexible to the needs of the team and have a “no task too small” attitude. You know the importance of discretion and can make thoughtful judgment calls. You’re excited to be contributing your skills to extending healthy human lifespan!

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidation of domestic and international entities in accordance with US GAAP, including foreign currency translation and elimination of intercompany transactions.
  • Manage intercompany billing, reconciliations, and transfer pricing compliance across multiple countries and legal entities.
  • Lead general ledger close activities, prepare journal entries, and ensure timely reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and internal management reports with clarity and precision for executive leadership and board presentations.
  • Support global audit processes and statutory reporting requirements. Liaise with external auditors and international finance teams.
  • Design and enhance accounting procedures, controls, and reporting tools to scale with the company’s global growth.
  • Partner with Clinical and Science teams, Operations, and R&D to ensure financial alignment and accurate tracking (e.g., clinical trial accruals, R&D tax credits, etc.).
  • Support the optimization of ERP systems (e.g., QBO, NetSuite or similar) to enable automation and accurate global reporting.
  • You might thrive in the role if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of general accounting experience.
  • Prior exposure to international accounting practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to independently and efficiently solve problems.
  • Experience using expense reimbursement platforms.
  • Experience with financial audits.
  • Familiarity with GAAP accounting practices.
  • Experience with various accounting software and the ability to pick up new ones as needed.
  • Experience balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities; you systematize as you go.
  • It's a bonus if you have:

  • A CPA license or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online.
  • Experience using Ramp expense management software.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Asana, and Slack.
  • An interest in finding productivity-hacking ways to use AI in accounting.
  • Additional Information
