Research Scientist

📋 Description

• Innovate and deploy state-of-the-art AI models for translation and voice.
• Scale training on DeepL GPU clusters with a focus on low-latency production.
• Own the full research lifecycle from modeling to production deployment.
• Collaborate with ML Platform, HPC, and DevOps to deploy robust infrastructure.
• Drive research initiatives improving neural network math and reproducibility.
• Participate in on-call rotations for Voice/Production teams.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD/Master or equivalent in CS, Math, Physics, or related field.
• Strong Python experience plus PyTorch, JAX or TensorFlow.
• History of self-directed research with publications.
• Beneficial: RLHF, RLAIF, RLVR, or NMT expertise.
• Production mindset: shipping models to production is a plus.
• Excellent English communication; additional languages a plus.
