Reddit is seeking a Strategic Community Specialist on a contract basis to drive community strategy and engagement across its global network of communities. This remote role will focus on building strong relationships, supporting moderators and creators, and helping Reddit foster healthy, inclusive communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute community programs and initiatives aligned with Reddit's goals.
• Engage with moderators, creators, and community leaders to understand needs and feedback.
• Collaborate with product, policy, safety, and marketing teams to shape community policies and product experiences.
• Represent Reddit publicly, participate in events, AMAs, and partnerships.
• Create content calendars, write community updates, and manage program documentation.
• Monitor community health metrics and report on trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate volunteers, ambassadors, or program participants as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in community management or audience engagement.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, cross-functional environment.
• Familiarity with Reddit’s platform and community dynamics is a plus.
