Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Manager to lead and grow a team dedicated to ads content understanding. You will manage ML engineers and researchers, drive the ML roadmap from experimentation to production, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, impactful ML solutions for advertising products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing ML team (engineers and researchers) focused on ads content understanding.
• Define and execute the ML roadmap, guiding models from ideation through deployment and monitoring in production.
• Collaborate with Ads Product, Data Science, Platform Engineering, and Policy teams to align on goals and deliverables.
• Establish and track metrics for model performance, impact, and reliability; drive experimentation and A/B testing.
• Mentor and develop team members; participate in talent acquisition, performance reviews, and career growth planning.
• Ensure scalable ML systems with robust data pipelines, governance, compliance, and ethics considerations.
• Communicate progress and strategy to cross-functional leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on machine learning experience; 3+ years in people leadership or management roles.
• Strong background in ML, deep learning, and production-grade ML systems; experience with NLP and content understanding is a plus.
• Proven ability to lead ML teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, ML, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with ML lifecycle, MLOps, experimentation, and model monitoring; prior exposure to advertising domains is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed, remote teams.
