Senior Engineering Manager, ML Feature Platform

Overview

Reddit is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the ML Feature Platform to lead a high-impact team responsible for building and scaling our machine learning feature platform that powers Reddit's products. You will partner with ML researchers, data scientists, software engineers, and platform teams to deliver robust, scalable ML features in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ML engineers and data platform engineers, setting clear goals and career development plans.
• Define the roadmap for the ML Feature Platform, prioritize initiatives, and manage delivery across multiple squads.
• Architect and implement scalable tooling and data pipelines to enable reliable feature extraction, transformation, and serving for ML models.
• Collaborate with ML researchers to translate research into production-ready features and experiments.
• Ensure reliability, observability, security, privacy, and governance of ML features; own incident response and post-mortem culture.
• Partner with SRE, Data, Product, and Security teams to align on requirements and SLAs.
• Drive best practices in testing, monitoring, performance optimization, and code quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with 2+ years in management, preferably with ML infrastructure or platform experience.
• Strong background in ML platforms, feature stores, data pipelines, and distributed systems.
• Experience shipping production ML features at scale and leading distributed teams.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with modern ML tooling.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
