Overview
Reddit is seeking a Machine Learning Manager to lead the Ads Creative Effectiveness team. This role will drive the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models to measure and improve the effectiveness of Reddit's advertising creatives across campaigns. You will partner with Ads product, engineering, data science, and design to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of ML engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of experimentation and impact.
- Define the team's roadmap and priorities aligned with Reddit's advertising goals.
- Design, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to assess and improve ad creative effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, privacy/compliance, and business stakeholders to translate insights into product improvements.
- Ensure models are scalable, robust, and compliant with data privacy standards.
- Recruit, coach, and develop talent; promote best practices in ML engineering and MLOps.
- Communicate results and impact to cross-functional partners and leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning or AI, with 2+ years in people leadership.
- Proven track record deploying ML models in production and delivering business impact.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and ML Ops practices.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across product, data, and engineering teams.
- Experience in advertising/marketing tech is a plus; Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
