Community Specialist (contract)

Job Description

Reddit is seeking a Contract Community Specialist to help foster healthy, engaged communities across Reddit. This remote opportunity (Remote - Australia) is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage community interactions across multiple channels.

Responsibilities

• Moderate and engage with Reddit communities in alignment with platform guidelines.
• Monitor discussions, respond to user questions, and escalate issues when needed.
• Collaborate with product, policy, and community teams to implement best practices.
• Develop and execute community engagement strategies to grow and retain active users.
• Plan and support events, AMAs, and other community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience in community management, customer support, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and online communities.
