About the Role:
We’re looking for a Manager, Brokerage Risk & Dispute Resolution to join our Brokerage Operations team. In this role, you’ll serve as the first line of defense for complex transactions and compliance issues, proactively identifying and resolving challenges while maintaining a balance between risk mitigation and exceptional agent experience.
The ideal candidate is a decisive, solutions-oriented professional with deep brokerage operations expertise, strong judgment, and exceptional communication skills. You’ll act as a trusted liaison between brokers, agents, and internal teams—helping resolve disputes, guide best practices, and reduce risk across our growing network.
This is a great opportunity to make a company-wide impact by strengthening Real’s risk management framework, driving operational consistency, and supporting brokers through fair, timely, and compliant issue resolution.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as the first point of escalation for complex brokerage and transaction-related issues, complaints, or disputes.
Investigate agent, broker, and client complaints to determine root causes, assess risk exposure, and recommend solutions.
Manage and resolve commission disputes, ethics complaints, and potential policy or legal violations in partnership with brokers.
Act as liaison between Brokerage, Legal, and Compliance teams, escalating only matters requiring legal interpretation.
Identify risk patterns or emerging issues and recommend process or policy improvements.
Coach Broker Team members on conflict resolution, documentation, and communication best practices.
Maintain and refine the Broker Dispute Resolution Playbook to ensure consistent and compliant handling of cases.
Support Brokerage Leadership in driving consistent risk management practices across markets.
What You’ll Bring:
Proven success in resolving complex or high-stakes disputes with professionalism and sound judgment.
Deep understanding of real estate contracts, agency law, and brokerage risk exposure.
Experience handling licensing complaints, ethics investigations, or arbitration matters.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to navigate sensitive situations.
Mediation training or experience with Realtor professional standards committees is a plus.
Highly organized, calm under pressure, and motivated by problem-solving rather than process management.
Education & Experience:
7+ years of experience in residential real estate brokerage, including leadership, broker, or compliance roles.
Active real estate broker license strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Additional certifications or mediation training are advantageous.
