Purchasing & Category Manager

📋 Description

• Be business owner for your categories; accountable for financial KPIs.
• Act as category SME to educate and galvanize the org around your categories.
• Work cross-functionally with buyers, merchandisers, and marketing on promos and pricing.
• Manage day-to-day purchasing, pricing, promotions, merchandising, and assortment.
• Set up and manage supply agreements; optimize supply for quality and COGS.
• Coordinate creation and launch of new and in-season items.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in farms or fresh grocery retail, distribution, purchasing, or category mgmt.
• 2+ years in category mgmt and/or purchasing; meat/seafood/produce preferred.
• 2+ years experience as a people leader.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of quality standards and industry certifications.
• Experience managing relationships with outside vendors; e-commerce a plus.
