- Verifies test requisitions against orders; flags discrepancies.
- Verifies patient identification before collection.
- Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
- Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique.
- Tracks specimens with initials, dates, and collection times.
- Maintains QC logs and reports KPIs biweekly.
🎯 Requirements
- Minimum 5 years phlebotomy experience.
- 5+ years high-level customer care; supervising phlebotomy ops/teams preferred.
- BS/BA degree preferred.
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred; state regs may vary.
- Bilingual language skills preferred.
- Must complete HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training within 30 days.
