- Advise on core scenarios - Guide treatment of rent, concessions, deposits/refunds, subsidies/HAP, delinquencies, utilities, move-in/out, and month-end close
- Translate workflows into requirements and tests; pressure-test before release
- Review prorations, allocations, adjustments, and charge/credit logic
- Lead testing and validation with client accountants and UAT
- Define standards and terminology for controllers and onsite teams
- Capture best practices into durable standards and playbooks
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years in multifamily property accounting or controllership
- Deep knowledge of GL, sub-ledgers, resident ledgers, deposits, and close; US GAAP
- Comfortable communicating with client accounting, operations, and leasing teams
- Crisp stakeholder communications, including writing and presentations
- Willingness to work in person at our office 4-5 days a week
