- Create original Social Studies assessment items aligned to standards and the C3 Framework.
- Curate high-quality primary and secondary sources with maps and charts.
- Transfer and format existing district/state assessments into the Formative platform.

- Conduct QA reviews to ensure unbiased, culturally responsive content.
- Evaluate Depth of Knowledge (DOK) and cognitive rigor for items.

- 1+ year of direct experience writing and reviewing Social Studies items for EdTech or publishers.
- Strong understanding of formative, common, and summative assessment design.
- Familiar with state standards and the C3 Framework; skilled at alignment.
- Proficient in authoring TEIs and metadata tagging on digital platforms.
- Editorial excellence with fairness, bias, and accessibility.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
