Program Manager, Alignment

📋 Description

• Own logistics and execution for alignment events with researchers, participants, and staff.
• Manage external collaborations: program mgmt, contracting, tracking.
• Incubate external collaborations in alignment ecosystem, research and shared infra.
• Provide recruiting support for alignment hiring: source, map, engage candidates.
• Serve as RPM partner for the Alignment blog, publishing ops and editorial support.
• Support compute management processes, including coordination and tracking.
• If pilot succeeds, run Safety Fellows program end-to-end.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in program management, operations, or partnerships in research/policy/technical fields.
• Ability to drive complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams with strong program judgment.
• Familiarity with AI safety/alignment ecosystem; build trust with researchers/organizations.
• Clear communication and strong writing.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; maintain momentum; close gaps with light oversight.
• Experience supporting fellowships or external partnerships is a plus.
