Production Underwriter

📋 Description

• Build and nurture relationships with independent agents/brokers in MA/CT/RI.
• Evaluate submissions for profitability and service excellence.
• Partner with underwriting analysts to uphold quality and responsiveness.
• Recruit new agency partners and elevate existing relationships.
• Collaborate with Middle Market and Loss Sensitive partners on strategy.
• Conduct market research to keep MEMIC competitive and growing.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of technical P&C underwriting experience.
• CPCU or insurance designation preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Word).
• Strong marketing instincts to represent MEMIC.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, results-driven.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
