Product Design Manager, Design Systems

📋 Description

• Set strategy and roadmap for Lyft Product Language across surfaces.
• Lead AI transformation: AI into LPL tooling and workflows.
• Represent Design Systems in reviews and leadership forums.
• Own LPL component contributions and end-to-end review process.
• Partner with DPM and engineering to maintain system health.
• Communicate decisions, adoption expectations, and quality standards across the org.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in product/brand design; 2+ years managing designers.
• Leading design systems at scale: components, patterns, guidelines.
• Fluency across mobile and web; systems used by engineers.
• Experience managing a design systems team.
• Strong partnership with engineering on architecture, releases, quality.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tooling (Figma MCP, generative workflows).
