Product Design Manager

📋 Description

• Lead and grow the design team; coach craft, support career growth, run 1:1s and design crits
• Lead design on strategically important product areas; ship real work and set craft bar
• Develop a POV on AI-powered design tooling; evaluate pixels, code, prototyping, experimentation
• Bring the team along on AI fluency; set expectations, build shared practices, enable experimentation
• Establish and optimize design processes; ship consistent, high-quality experiences
• Lead and evolve the design system; governance, contribution, AI-assisted workflows

🎯 Requirements

• Experience managing a team of product designers while staying hands-on
• Strong product design fundamentals with a portfolio on complex, technical or dev-facing products
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle — CI/CD, version control, CLIs, APIs
• Active, thoughtful use of AI in design practice; experience with AI-assisted prototyping and coding
• Proven experience building or evolving design systems with governance and scale
• Excellent collaboration and communication with Product and Engineering leaders
