📋 Description

• Advise cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and marketing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide practical guidance on regulatory compliance, privacy, IP, AI, marketing, and consumer protection.
• Counsel on building and integrating generative AI into Toast products.
• Stay current on U.S. and international laws affecting the Toast platform and AI; navigate AI regulation.
• Think creatively to navigate regulatory environments for a smooth user experience.
• Partner across functions with deep product knowledge and regulatory awareness.

🎯 Requirements

• A J.D. from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school, and bar admission.
• 5+ years of legal experience in regulatory compliance, privacy, IP, and consumer protection.
• In-house counsel experience advising product/engineering/marketing on development and regulations.
• Experience with fast-paced tech, software, or fintech firms.
• Solution-oriented, customer-service mindset; growth mindset.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
