Privileging Specialist

📋 Description

• Manage end-to-end privileging for locum physicians and APPs per client and Aya standards.
• Review provider applications, CVs, and supporting documentation for completeness and risks.
• Prepare, submit, and track hospital privileging applications, driving files to approval with targeted start dates.
• Partner with providers, medical staff offices, clients, and internal teams to obtain documentation and resolve items.
• Conduct and review primary source verifications and compliance requirements (licensure, board certs, malpractice, exclusions).
• Monitor expiring licenses, certifications, and privileges to ensure ongoing compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years direct locum tenens privileging experience across multiple specialties; 3+ years preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in fast-paced locum tenens, healthcare staffing, or MSP environments.
• Experience with hospital medical staff offices, credentialing departments, and healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, NCQA, payer enrollment, and medical staff office standards.
• Experience managing privileging files from application through approval.
