- Primary technical contact for machined Starship parts; mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Drive part quality and cost via first-principles design and materials.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard new suppliers; drive qualification and capability.
- Identify and implement alternative methods to reduce cost and lead time.
- Own NPI and supplier qualification for new parts and drawings/changes.
- Coordinate with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, materials, metallurgical)
- 8+ years in manufacturing/process engineering
- Experience with machining methods and processes
- Knowledge of supplier quality: PPAP, APQP, FAI
- Knowledge of DoE and Six Sigma
- Experience with ISO 9000/TS/AS9100/NADCAP quality systems
