📋 Description

• Define long-term backend and platform architecture for enterprise AI workloads.
• Guide backend services, real-time pipelines, and platform infra for AI models.
• Directly manage 5–10 engineers; career development and coaching.
• Lead AI strategy for applied systems; external vs internal models.
• Collaborate with research to productionize models.
• Set standards for safe, observable deployment and inference.
• Partner with product to translate strategy into execution.
• Ensure security, privacy, and reliability in AI platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years designing and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• 2+ years directly managing software engineers.
• Impact beyond a single team; influence across groups.
• Deep expertise in backend systems and distributed architectures.
• Cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes/Helm.
• Python or similar backend languages; Rust a plus.
• Distributed databases and data platforms (PostgreSQL, CockroachDB).
• Strong architectural judgment; trade-offs at scale.
• Excellent communication; coach engineers across levels.
