📋 Description

• Full-time Elasticsearch contributor, building data-intensive features and fixing bugs.
• Work with a globally distributed team focused on Elasticsearch search capabilities.
• Be an expert in several Elasticsearch areas and improve them.
• Help build the future of search, including a scalable Serverless tier and ES|QL.
• Collaborate with a global community on issues and PRs.
• Write idiomatic modern Java (Elasticsearch is 99.8% Java).

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Java skills; solid data structures, concurrency, and lambdas.
• Autonomy to own projects from design to finish, including technical design and collaboration.
• Comfortable collaborating online; asynchronous collaboration is a bonus.
• Experience with data storage tech: Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaborative skills.
• Bonus: Elasticsearch experience, search/IR, SaaS or PaaS, OSS with CI/CD.
