Principal Search Relevance Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the search architecture for AI Search, blending Elasticsearch and vector search.
• Design systems with sub-50ms latency across thousands of stores and queries.
• Collaborate with PMs and Data Scientists on NLP, ranking, and personalization.
• Lead engineering practices: RESTful APIs, versioning, validation, authentication.
• Set technical direction for data models and API contracts.
• Mentor back-end engineers and participate in code reviews.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years backend engineering; e-commerce experience preferred.
• Deep Elasticsearch expertise at scale.
• Vector search and embeddings experience.
• Go and PHP backend experience.
• ML in production: learning-to-rank and query understanding.
