📋 Description

• Define and drive design vision for PagerDuty's AI and automation capabilities, including AI agents.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML engineers, PMs, and data scientists to translate AI into intuitive UX.
• Establish design principles for AI transparency, explainability, and user control.
• Mentor designers on AI/UX best practices and foster innovation.
• Conduct strategic research on adoption and trust of AI-driven recommendations and automation.
• Partner with product leadership to shape AI/automation roadmap balancing innovation with user needs.
• Represent design in exec discussions and contribute to AI strategy and product positioning.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in product/UX/interaction design focused on complex technical products
• 3+ years designing for AI/ML, intelligent systems, automation platforms, or data-driven apps
• Demonstrated experience leading design strategy and influencing product direction
• Portfolio showing AI/UX, conversational interfaces, automation design, or intelligent agents
• Experience designing for developer tools, DevOps platforms, or technical operations products
• Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts including LLMs, generative AI, and predictive models
• Track record establishing design systems and frameworks across product teams
• Strong thought leadership through speaking, writing, or contributing to the design community
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or enterprise software with technical audiences
