Principal Machine Learning Engineer

📋 Description

• Partner with Data Platform to exchange ML best practices
• Build scalable ML systems and platforms impacting millions
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Applied Scientists, and Software Developers
• Develop horizontal solutions to scale ML models and processes
• Use OO design patterns to reduce technical debt and ensure high availability
• Participate in requirements, design, and code reviews
• Research and prototype new technologies to support rapid growth
• Interact cross-functionally with technical teams to identify platform improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Strong coding experience (Java, C#, Python)
• Experience gathering data from multiple sources with Spark, Hadoop, BigQuery, Athena
• Experience building ML infra with robust software practices
• Knowledge of design patterns, CI/CD, Git, unit/integration testing, schedulers, cloud (AWS Lambda, Google Functions)
• Exposure to all aspects of the SDLC
• Experience with messaging systems: Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, RabbitMQ
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent organization and multitasking
• 2+ years in applied ML or ML systems; 1+ year in ML engineering
• Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred
• Judgment and reasoning abilities; escalate issues as needed
• Microsoft Office Suite experience
• Google Workspace experience preferred
