Principal Engineer, API Platform

📋 Description

• Deliver CoreWeave Cloud API for developer touchpoints (Console, SDKs, CLI, IaC).
• Establish internal API governance for consistency and speed.
• Drive IaC-first strategy with day-one Terraform support.
• Set and meet API reliability goals; define SLIs/SLOs and observability.
• Shape identity and access management toward unified policies.
• Lead the transition to a gRPC-first interface for SDKs and tools.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years building and operating public APIs and backend services.
• Proficiency in Go; Terraform; protobuf/gRPC; REST design.
• Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure with scalable architectures.
• Strong communication and leadership; cross-organizational technical lead.
• CI/CD, testing strategies, and safe rollout/deprecation of API changes.
• Contributions to Terraform providers or similar IaC tooling.
