Principal Engineer

📋 Description

• Shape Masabi platform architecture, including blueprint and standards
• Design scalable, robust, cost-efficient services aligned with blueprint
• Stay hands-on in code and delivery, including reviews
• Address complex platform challenges around scalability and cost
• Act as senior technical advisor across engineering teams
• Shape technical roadmap planning and prioritisation

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience designing and evolving distributed systems and microservices
• Operated at Principal or Staff level across multiple teams
• Comfortable staying hands-on in code, design and delivery
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern infra practices
• Experience with data architecture (data platforms, pipelines, warehousing)
• Turn loosely defined problems into clear, actionable technical approaches
