Principal Agentic AI Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead architecture and strategy for Hover's autonomous agentic AI systems.
• Design multi-agent orchestration, reliability, and observability.
• Define boundary between deterministic systems and LLM reasoning.
• Build confidence-tier systems, escalation paths, and auditability for enterprise outputs.
• Stay hands-on with critical challenges, debugging pipelines, and production reliability.
• Set and execute a 6 to 12 month technical roadmap and coach engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering with technical leadership of complex systems.
• Experience building and shipping production AI systems under real load.
• Deep systems thinking across reliability, observability, state management, and graceful degradation.
• Strong product judgment on what to automate versus where humans should remain in the loop.
• Clear opinions on the boundary between deterministic systems and LLM-driven reasoning.
• Exceptional communication, including design docs and executive-level tradeoffs.
• A passion for mentoring engineers and building strong, collaborative teams.
• Experience in regulated or high-trust domains such as insurance, fintech, healthcare, or legal.
