  • Lead EOL and in-process test development for HV batteries and motors.
  • Design and deploy test strategies: hipot, IR, winding, EMI, ESS.
  • Specify, validate, and commission production test equipment (installation, FAT).
  • Program, maintain, and optimize ATE, test sequences, pass/fail, data collection.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, and Quality to integrate test stations.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, root cause, and corrective actions.
  • Support FAI, qualification, and process changes for new battery/motor builds.
  • Troubleshoot test equipment and production issues on the floor.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, work instructions, HV safety docs.
  • Own calibration, maintenance, and validation of test equipment.
  • Contribute to PFMEA and in-process quality control strategy.

🎯 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3+ years manufacturing test engineering; EV battery or motor experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with production test equipment and automated electrical test systems.
  • Strong HV safety knowledge; battery and motor manufacturing processes.
  • Battery testing (capacity, IR, balancing, BMS) and motor testing (back-EMF, insulation).
  • Proficiency in test data analysis, SPC, and MES.
  • Experience taking production test equipment from prototype to mass production.
  • Strong troubleshooting across test equipment, product, and process issues.
  • Comfortable working on the production floor with technicians and operators.
  • Ability to create, validate, and sustain manufacturing test procedures and work instructions.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Direct experience in battery module/pack or electric motor manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with battery/motor production: welding, winding, balancing, automation.
  • Experience with BMS or motor controller programming and EOL configuration.
  • Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet/IP, Modbus and PLC-based automation.
  • Dynamometer testing, power electronics, or motor control experience.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, AS9100, or eVTOL programs.
  • Lean manufacturing and production ramp-up experience.
  • Ability to support multiple shifts during critical production phases.
