Staff Data Engineer, Data Platform

This fully remote role at Postscript focuses on building and scaling our data platform to empower product analytics, experiments, and customer insights. You will design data models, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data quality and reliability across the data stack. You will collaborate with data scientists, analytics, and product engineering to deliver scalable data infrastructure that enables data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale data platform components including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and streaming data
• Collaborate with data scientists, analytics, and product engineering to drive data-driven product decisions
• Mentor and lead other data engineers, set best practices, and improve data tooling
• Ensure data quality, reliability, observability, security, and compliance across the data stack
• Own data modeling, cataloging, and governance; improve data instrumentation and monitoring

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or Scala)
• Experience with data warehouses and analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
• Experience with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to work in remote environments
