OSP Line Technician

Job Description

Pilot is seeking an OSP Line Technician to join our field operations team in Brooklyn, NY. This entry-level role involves installing and maintaining outside plant fiber optic lines, performing cable installations, splicing and terminating fiber, and ensuring safety and quality on all projects. You will work with field equipment and blueprints, coordinate with field teams, and help deliver reliable connectivity to our customers. This role offers hands-on training and opportunities for growth within Pilot's network operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain OSP fiber optic cables and related infrastructure
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Follow safety policies and procedures; operate hand and power tools
• Collaborate with field teams to complete projects on schedule
• Document work performed and report issues to supervision

Qualifications

• Entry-level to mid-level candidates; strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license may be required
