Responsibilities for a Physical Therapist (PT) include:
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories.
- Perform diagnostic tests and measurements: mobility, stability, balance, strength, safety.
- Implement wound prevention and repair using evidence-based dressings and topical agents.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including manual therapy and gait training.
- Continually assess and revise the PT care plan with nursing in the multidisciplinary team.
- Educate clients and families on rehabilitative care to promote health, safety, and independence.
Qualifications
- A current North Carolina Physical Therapist license.
- Graduation from an APTA-approved program, as indicated by transcript or diploma.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with EMR preferred.
