- Administer participant treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist
- Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, ranges of motion, and strength testing
- Coordinate with other members of the Rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participants' individual treatment plans
- Handle scheduling of participants' treatments, clinical visits, and billing
- Document physical therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans including but not limited to active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments (e.g., massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity)
π― Requirements
- PTA associate's degree from an accredited program
- Valid PTA license, or proof of license eligibility
- Minimum of two (2) years of PTA experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population
- PTA knowledge necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs
- Ideally outpatient, acute, inpatient, or skilled nursing experience
