Garage Door Technician

Overview

PDQ Doors is seeking a reliable Garage Door Technician to install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers in Milford, Ohio. This full-time role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose door and opener issues and perform repairs, replacing components such as torsion springs, cables, rollers, tracks, sensors, and motors as needed.

• Install, program, and service garage door openers and associated hardware.
\n
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure door systems meet safety standards and local codes.
\n
• Provide accurate estimates, communicate timelines, and manage customer expectations.
\n
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools; keep work vehicle organized and ready for daily jobs.
\n
• Document service visits and update work orders in the company system.
\n

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
\n
• Proven experience installing and repairing residential/commercial garage doors and openers.
\n
• Knowledge of torsion springs, cables, rollers, tracks, sensors, and safety devices.
\n
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; proficient with hand and power tools.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service.
\n
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in tight spaces.
\n
