PCB Designer (Starship)

📋 Description

• Determine layer stack-up, placement, routing feasibility for digital, analog, RF, and power PCB.
• Perform multilayer PCB layout (20+ layers) with high-speed routing, differential pairs, and impedance control.
• Run pre- and post-layout SI/PI simulations to mitigate crosstalk, reflections, and EMI/EMC.
• DRC/ERC checks, peer reviews, design audits; validate and bring up prototypes with hardware/firmware teams.
• Produce fabrication deliverables (Gerber, ODB++, IPC-2581, drill files, stack-up drawings).
• Analyze manufacturability; incorporate production feedback to reduce costs and improve yield.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering OR 3+ years of PCB layout experience.
• 2+ years PCB layout/routing experience in RF, analog/digital, or high-density parts.
• 1+ years ECAD libraries and library configuration management.
• Understanding of DFM/assembly/test principles.
• Experience with Mentor Xpedition and/or Altium Designer.
• Experience with mixed analog/digital designs and high-speed buses.
