- Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payroll across multiple countries.
- Review, audit, and validate payroll data including timesheets and deductions.
- Ensure timely processing of new hires, terminations, pay changes, and other actions.
- Maintain and update payroll records in the HRIS/payroll system with confidentiality.
- Collaborate with People and Accounting to maintain data and payroll accounting.
- Reconcile payroll outputs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper funding.
- Support employee inquiries related to payroll, compensation, and taxes.
- Own and lead tax reporting and year-end payroll processes, including W-2s.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws (FLSA and state rules).
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports.
- Generate and deliver ad hoc payroll reports to support audits and decisions.
- Serve as a backup and assist with onboarding for new hires.
- Stay informed on international payroll laws and tax codes; propose updates.
π― Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payroll processing or related role with autonomy.
- Multi-country payroll knowledge (US, CA, Costa Rica, UK, Germany, Australia).
- Experience with payroll software (ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar) and HRIS.
- High diligence and accuracy handling sensitive financial and personal data.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to meet recurring payroll deadlines across multiple countries.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Strong Excel skills β VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.
