Role summary
We’re seeking an accomplished Partnerships Director to join our China team, based in either our Shenzhen or Shanghai office. In this strategic role, you will report directly to the Head of Partnerships for Greater China and collaborate closely with the Strategic Partnerships team at our New York headquarters.

What you’ll do

Role definition:
Identify and onboard financing products from external financial institutions, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with customer needs.
Establish and manage strategic relationships with banks and lending companies. Lead negotiations on commercial terms, product integration, and revenue-sharing models.
Own the business case and financial performance of lending partnerships. Design and negotiate revenue-sharing structures that ensure sustainable profitability for the company.
Develop strategies to increase customer usage of financing products, enhancing platform stickiness and improving retention metrics. • Product Coordination & Technical Integration Collaborate closely with internal product and engineering teams to ensure smooth API-level integration with partners. Understand basic product architecture and technical workflows to facilitate successful launches.
Who you are
Experience in cross-border payments and e-commerce is a strong plus. The ideal candidate should demonstrate the following key competencies to excel in this role:
Minimum 8 years of experience in fintech, banking, or lending-related roles. Familiarity with cross-border e-commerce or payments is a plus.
Proven track record of launching financial product partnerships and managing high[1]level external relationships.
Strong business judgment with experience in designing and managing revenue models. Ability to assess and drive profitability across partnership initiatives.
Understanding of basic product architecture and API concepts. Comfortable working with product and tech teams to support integration and troubleshooting.
Ability to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and deliver results in a fast[1]paced environment.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills. Capable of aligning internal stakeholders and motivating sales teams.
Fluent in Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international partners.
