Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriateAnalyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Director to develop solutions, programs and policiesPartners with business leaders to develop and drive initiatives, fostering effective communication to line management and the associate populationAssists with resolving complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations with ability to track outcomes and find proper resolutionMaintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/requiredProvides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retentionProvides HR policy guidance and interpretationOversees the administration of training programs to ensure successful outcomes.Administers and executes routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminationsActs as a benefits liaison for the warehouse, ensuring all employees have access to the benefits information and waive or enroll each month and ability to provide guidance on benefits questions or issuesMaintains OSHA logs and workers comp claims for the siteAssists with recruitment as needed by supporting background checks, interviews, contract negotiations, employee onboarding, succession planning, and performance evaluationsConducts exit interviews and employee questionnaires, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvementOversees the maintenance of employee records in HRIS and other systemsMaintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulationsMaintains the badge system to ensure accurate access for all associatesActs as a contact person for vendors when neededPerforms various other duties as assigned, such as administrative or data entry tasks required for proper filing of documents and accurate timekeeping/HRIS records. Qualifications Bachelor's degree3+ years experience in an HR Generalist role or higher where independent decision-making and self-initiative were demonstrated.Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or retail environment preferredAbility to work onsite 7am-3:30pm M-F schedule, with ability to assist on night shift or earlier if neededExperience resolving complex employee relations issuesBilingual strongly preferred (Spanish)Experience with Workday strongly preferredExperience building culture and employee engagementWorking knowledge of employment law, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, ACA regulationsBenefits liaison experienceOutstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Products and Google SuiteAbility to manage diverse workload in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multitaskAbility to maintain a calm and professional demeanor when handling difficult situationsSelf-driven, organized, and proactive mindsetHigh ethical and confidentiality standardsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailPHR or SHRM-CP preferred Physical Requirements Able to sit for 8-10 hours a day, with ability to walk on the warehouse floor when neededAble to use hands for fine manipulation, such as typing and grasping objectsAble to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
