Osano is hiring an innovative, experienced Sr. Software Engineer (Mobile SDK) to join our growing Engineering team and help build out our enterprise platform. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding

of the Android platform, its ecosystem, and building SDKs for mobile applications.

Osano's engineering teams work in small, concentrated pods to improve our codebase and have amassed a backlog of interesting technical puzzles and product initiatives. In this role, you would work with our Mobile SDK pod to further Osano’s Cookie Consent initiatives. Technical expertise in Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, Gradle, and a passion + empathy for the customer experience will serve you well in this role.

The Role

Collaborate with Engineering + Product teams to build and support existing Osano Cookie Consent SDKs.
Contribute and lead Osano’s Android SDKs full implementation lifecycle including build, deploy, test, and release management.
Design and develop systems and libraries that are highly reusable and maintainable.
Provide ongoing support and enhancements for Android SDKs to provide a delightful experience to customers integrating Osano’s Cookie Consent SDKs into their applications.
Evaluate existing Osano’s Cookie Consent Android SDKs and find opportunities for improvement such as functional, performance, and compatibility testing.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, test engineers, internal stakeholders and customer experience teams to efficiently deliver Osano’s Cookie Consent SDKs.
Collaborate with engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. You’ll also mentor others as our team continues to grow and they develop in their career.

About You

You have a deep understanding of the Android platform and its ecosystem, including the Android SDK, Java and Kotlin programming language, and popular Android development tools like Android Studio.
You thrive in a remote environment. For us, that means being curious, proactively communicating, and bringing ingenuity and initiative every day.
You are comfortable working collaboratively with design engineers and product managers, and other stakeholders to build a successful mobile platform.
You have a deep understanding of using Gradle and utilizing Google Play console’s Internal testing to deploy apps to the Google Play Store for internal testing.
You have experience working with CI/CD platforms such as automating and deploying code through GitHub Actions.
You have a good understanding of mobile security best practices and be able to implement them in your software designs.
You are familiar with agile development methodologies like Kanban and can work effectively in an agile team environment.
You have experience with automated testing and debugging tools to ensure high-quality software releases.

Compensation

Based on your skills and experience, you can expect your annual base compensation to be between $140,000 and $160,000. We want everyone at Osano to have a stake in our success, so you'll also receive stock options upon joining the company.
