Ordnance Technician

📋 Description

• Perform safe handling of energetics and hazardous materials.
• Locate, identify, demolish, or decontaminate hazardous munitions per regulations.
• Operate energetic transport vehicles and inspect energetic material handling.
• Use forklifts and other lifting equipment for transporting energetic/hazardous materials.
• Maintain chain-of-custody and inventory records using automated systems.
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and implement mitigations.

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years explosives decontamination operations experience.
• Ordnance/weapons systems or inventory/warehouse experience a plus.
• Must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• AMMO-18 Certification preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and reach up to 120 feet.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Pre-employment physical exam required; medical surveillance may apply.
